Fawn's Freedom
Betkar's I M Mugsy Too v. Betkar's Poor Lil Sweet Face 3/6/89-5/23/95

"Fawn" came to us in 1990 at the age of 1 1/2 years old, as a rescue from a very deplorable situation.  She was beaten and tied in a garage to be a guard dog.

After 2 1/2 years of love and affection "Fawn" was bred to CH. Bremhaven's Mr. Roberts in mid-summer of 1993 at the age of 4.  She produced every breeders nightmare litter...5 whites and 2 fawns.  One fawn would die of fading puppy syndrome at 3 days old. And the other fawn...a beautiful male would be bilaterally cryptorchid.  But for the love of the breed we repeated the breeding in the late summer of 1994.  October 10, 1994 she produced our foundation bitch Moonlight's Autumn Haze "Sasha" who was a litter of one.

In May of 1998 we lost "Fawn" to what we can only assume was irreversible brain damage from her first year of life being beaten and mistreated.  She touched many lives and gave us 2 very wonderful pets.  We miss you "Fawn".

CH. Bremhaven's Mister Robert's v. Fawn's Freedom 9/18/93-6/17/00

"Magnum" came to us from "Fawn's" first litter.  He would never be a show dog as he was bilaterally cryptorchid at birth.  But that did not mean that he could only be a couch potato!  He completed obedience at the top of his class and went on to get his companion dog title in obedience.  He later went on to receive his Canine Good Citizen and his Therapy Dog International.  This was all done by Sharyn herself.

He spent his weekends roaming the halls of Waterfront Nursing Home in Downtown Buffalo, where Sharyn was a nurse.  The patients loved and adored him, and played for hours with him and his tennis ball.

He is greatly missed by Sharyn as he was her true companion.

"Sasha" was whelped in October of 1994 a litter of one.  In the summer of 1996 she was bred to AM/CAN CH. Jodiac's Forbes.  She whelped in October of 1996 giving us a litter of 8, 7 brindles and 1 white.  This started our brindle dominate trait.  We kept one brindle bitch out of this litter.  In the spring of 1998 "Sasha" was bred to AM/CAN CH. Holly Lane's Fantan of Teohlin.  She produced another litter of 8, 7 fawn's and 1 white.  One week after whelping she developed mastitis.  We had to remove her puppies from her as it was pretty bad.  Luckily we had another bitch whelp just days before her.  "Taylor" graciously took over the duty of mom for her 1 puppy and her 8 adoptive ones!

She is greatly missed by my dad as she was "papa's girl" since being a litter of one she was spoiled from the day she was born.  She did everything with him.

"Zoya" was out of the very first ALL colored litter in 6 years of breeding.  Whelped in December 1999.  "Zoya" entered the show ring at 6 months old and loved every minute of it!  She finished in Canada rather quickly.  She was shown in the states by friends such as Debbie Struff, and Kim Pastella.  She was singled out rather quickly and only needed a major to finish.

Shown here with friend Kim Pastella and Judge Ralph Ambrosio at the Central New York Kennel Club getting her last single point.

She was a wonderful dog and a great snuggler in bed!

"Brady" was whelped on October 31, 2001.  This being a repeat breeding from 2 years prior.  We liked what we got the first time so we did it again.  He was a great dog and a magnificent companion.  He was shown to his championship in Canada by friends David Vitagliano and Lori Eberl.  He also dabbled in the Junior showmanship ring with co-owner Elizabeth Fox.  They did very well together.

Shown here with friend David Vitagliano and Judge Lawrence Stanbridge at the Wine Country Kennel Club in Canada.

I miss him so much everyday.  He was my "velcro dog" as mom called him.

Moonlight's Rainbow Warrior
2/22/00-8/30/05
(Nascar Fans Will Understand the Name)

"Boe" came to us via my brother Tom in April 2000.  Tom acquired him while visiting a college buddy and just had to have this cute little fuzz ball, complete with  a long tail and floppy dewclaws.  He was raised with 2 puppies that we kept from a December 1999 litter.  He did not know that he was a Rottweiler and we did not tell him either.  He played and did all the boxer traits right down to boxing and hock biting when they played.

He may have not been a show dog but he was a champion in our hearts.  Unfortunately he came down with a disease known as Vitaligo (where the pigment changes color) and all his black hair turned white.  He was such a sweet boy.

Tom misses this dog very much and so do we.  He was probably the only 110 pound lap dog I will ever meet or let sit on my lap!

"Quincie" or as she was known to her friends later in her life "The Queen" was the best dog anyone could ask for.  She loved to go camping either in a tent or the motor home and especially going to dog shows with her best friend David Vitagiliano.  She was the only dog in the house that would long to go home with her handler after being dropped off from a show weekend.

She gave us 4 wonderful pets "Lexus", "Zoya", "Brady" and "Jordan".  And we are thankful everyday for each of them.

She is shown here winning best veteran in specialty at the Boxer Club of Western New York Speciality in conjunction with Susque-Nango Kennel Club November 18, 2006.  Under Breeder Judge Shirley Bell.
